Becoming Fully Integrated

I employ an inter-disciplinary approach to the art and science of yoga: from mindful movement and breath-centered practices, to positive psychology and the latest in anatomy, neuroscience and pain research, my aim is to bring the nervous and musculoskeletal systems back into functional balance, to increase stress resilience (our ability to 'cope'), and from that space, encourage integration of the body-mind-spirit complex.

The goal is a sense of self-empowerment through connectedness - whether it's the lumbo-sacral rhythm, the head-to-heart (thoughts-to-emotions), the gut-to-brain (the enteric nervous system), or the Self-to-the-Whole...what we create on the microcosm of our sticky mat, we bring to the macrocosm of our world. Why not strive to become as fully integrated as possible?

Art 4 Living Well

I'm so blessed to be able to do the work of my heart...my dharma. Besides working with private clients and teaching classes, I'm having tons of fun nurturing a collaborative project with local artist, Abbi Custis, called Art 4 Living Well. We help people of all ages and walks of life explore what it means to be human, and discover - through art, embodiment, laughter, and play - what is alive in them, wishing to be expressed through them.

The events take many forms, from corporate team building (our specialty), social events, private celebrations, and reflective series, and are a fun and fulfilling way that Abbi and I get to share our knowledge, experience and love with the world. The love (and lessons) I receive from these boys - and my family and friends - are the foundation from which I evolve daily. They are my biggest fans and cheerleaders, without whom I could not offer the gifts of my own growth to the world.

Jonathan and I connected in 1999; we met at the financial planning firm in Towson where we both worked. We married in 2007 and exactly nine months later, we were blessed with William. We moved from Baltimore County to the eastern shore full-time in 2013.

How can I be of service?

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was greater than the risk it took to open.
